Alice’s passion for colour, for pattern and her enduring belief in the importance of mastercraft skill has combined in her pursuit of jewellery design, pouring these myriad loves into small, symbolic heirlooms. At the same time, she’s a storyteller, and has told tales in a number of different ways over the course of her career; as a writer, curator, theatre director, and visual arts commissioner. Feeling a pull to open up a dialogue about jewellery and adornment, about sustainability of cultures as well as materials, to bring more colour and imagination to the world, Alice wants to build a community around these issues and is launching a members space with articles on jewellery and gemstones, archive pieces, and The Jewellery Chronicles, a magazine that tells stories about jewels.
